Front engine, front-wheel drive for new Previa MPV

AN all-new front-engined, front-wheel-drive Toyota Previa people-carrier is to be launched in June. Toyota's flagship five-to-eight-seater MPV, revealed on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show, will be offered with a 2.4-litre 154bhp VVT-i petrol engine and a 2.0-litre common rail diesel.

The Japanese manufacturer has also unveiled new three-door and five-door versions of the RAV4 compact activity vehicle which is expected to go on sale in August and which will have 1.8 and 2.0-litre VVT-is and the 2.0-litre diesel.
