HONDA is looking to triple its car sales to Government, Ministry of Defence and emergency service fleets. Last year the manufacturer sold about 100 of its cars into public sector fleets.

Now its has appointed ex-police chief superintendent Mark Jones to its corporate sales team with the target of selling at least 250 to the three specialist areas. Jones, who served with Warwickshire Constabulary for 33 years and was the force's head of traffic, will establish a new department within corporate sales and will include Honda motorcycles in his portfolio.
