THE full impact of the March 21 Budget on fleets and company car drivers is to be spelt out by industry experts at a special Fleet News Budget Briefing. Starting at 10.30am on Thursday, March 30 at Sopwell House, St Albans, Hertfordshire, the event is sponsored by Kwik-Fit Fleet, ACL autolease and Avis Rent-a-Car.

Panelists, including a senior tax partner from PricewaterhouseCoopers, will be offering an overview of the Budget, in which Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown is expected to announce details of the carbon dioxide-based company car tax system due to come into effect in April 2002 and the graduated Vehicle Excise Duty system to be introduced in the autumn.

The individual delegate fee is £95, which includes a buffet lunch. Discounts are available for group bookings. To reserve your place at Sopwell House, contact Charlotte Cunningham at Fleet News on 01733 467038.
