SAAB Great Britain has reorganised and strengthened its fleet operations in a bid to increase business sales. Headed by fleet operations manager Andrew Dunsdon - a former regional sales manager - the enlarged team replaces the previous corporate sales department and will focus on building closer links with fleet buyers and contract hire and leasing companies.

The new department also includes a small business unit. At a national level, former UK corporate sales manager Margaret Small becomes fleet marketing manager, responsible for developing tactical programmes and setting up an e-commerce infrastructure. Regionally, an enlarged team of three sales managers is tasked with talking to more fleet operators more often. Darren Braginton is responsible for the South, Mark Harrison covers the Midlands and Mark Hallam looks after the North.

There have also been changes at Saab's head office. Peter Augustsson has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Saab Automobile. He takes over as head of Saab operations from Adam Opel managing director Robert Hendry, who remains Saab chairman.
