BUSINESS buyers will become an increasingly important customer for Land Rover products, according to managing director Mike Wright. With Ford set to buy Land Rover for £1.75 billion from BMW with the acquisition due to be completed by the end of June, the 4x4 specialist's strategy under its new owner is being eagerly awaited.

Wright is still legally constrained from talking about the ongoing sale discussions he is having with Land Rover's new suitor, the Ford Motor Company, because of 'due diligence'. However, he confirmed that the separation from BMW was being conducted in a 'highly professional and constructive' manner.
