THE UK's largest dealer network, Pendragon, has launched an internet new and used car buying service to capitalise on growing interest in cash-for-car options. At www.tins.co.uk, customers have access to vehicles from major manufacturers sourced via the group's 228 dealerships.

Pendragon director Ken Trinder said: 'We see the internet as an ideal tool for companies looking to encourage their staff to look at personal contract purchasing. It would ease the transition from car provision as all the information an employee would need, including monthly rates, is online.' Pendragon was alerted to the opportunities through its contact hire operation c2K Automotive Solutions, which had received a growing number of inquiries about PCPs.

A 'last minute' car servicing internet site has been launched offering servicing from franchised dealers at 25% off the retail price by filling capacity at affiliated workshops. Duncan Berriman, service 4cars.com managing director, said: 'Our partner dealers can use the service like a tap according to workshop traffic. We will liaise to find a convenient time or contact the nearest partner dealer.'
