LANDLUBBERS can take to the water in June when Emap Automotive - publisher of Fleet NewsNet - holds the annual Automotive Industry Yachting Challenge (AIYC). To be held on June 20/21 at Port Solent, Portsmouth, the AIYC, previously the Fleet News Regatta, sees companies inviting clients to help crew 36ft racing yachts under the watchful eye of an experienced skipper.

The regatta is now in its 12th year and the AIYC will see companies and their guests arriving the day before racing on the Solent for dinner and a briefing. The day's racing will be followed by an evening Champagne reception and prizegiving before departure. The new format means participants have a choice of one or two day's sailing. The yachts can accommodate six people, plus the skipper and cost £1,950 per day or £1,750 per day for two days.
