Xsaras spark engineers' interest

GOLDFIELD Electronics has taken delivery of 29 Citroen Xsara 2.0HDi SX estates for its engineers on a three-year/ 100,000-mile lease. The vehicles were supplied by Citroen distributor West Heath, Farnborough.

Goldfield compared the Citroens with Ford Focus and Vauxhall Vectra models. John Goldsworthy, Goldfield managing director, said: 'Our engineers preferred the specification, performance and carrying capacity of the Xsara. From a company viewpoint the Xsara's 50-plus mpg fuel economy, low cost of operation and competitive pricing were major factors influencing the decision.'
