Nissan announces supplier awards

UNDER pressure to cut supply costs at its Sunderland plant, which is competing globally to win the contract to build the new Micra, Nissan has announced its 'best supplier awards' for 1999. The winners were Calsonic Exhaust Systems UK, shock absorber specialist Tenneco Automotive of Spain and Belgium, and driveshaft manufacturer GKN Hardy Spicer of Birmingham.
