PHH wins guard fleet contract

PHH Vehicle Management has won the contract to manage Burns International Services' fleets in Britain and Ireland. Burns, one of the largest manned guarding companies in the United States, has 75,000 employees in 330 offices worldwide. The British Isles fleets total 180 vehicles. PHH - which won the Fleet Manager Support Award at the 2000 Fleet News Awards - has been contracted to provide its funding, maintenance, accident and fuel management, previously handled in-house. The security firm said trying to manage its own fleet was not cost effective.
