Abbey trials online valuations

ABBEY National is trialling online vehicle 'consumer' valuations at three Milton Keynes branches and one in the Merry Hill shopping centre, Dudley. Customers wanting a loan to buy a car can access sellers' and buyers' new and used prices, provided by Glass's Information Services on touch-screen terminals. After identifying the value of the car required, the system calculates the appropriate loan and repayment costs over a variety of repayment periods. A similar service has been launched on Abbey National's website. If the trials are successful, touch-screen terminals will be introduced at more Abbey National branches this year.
