THE Co-op Bank has introduced a cash for car scheme which will reduce its company car fleet by more than 100 vehicles. About 130 staff will be provided with cash instead of a car, with a choice of sourcing a vehicle on their own or obtaining a personal contract purchase plan from PHH Vehicle Management.

Previously the drivers were provided with nearly new vehicles all under a year old and with less than 12,000 miles on the clock. The remaining 200 job requirement drivers will continue to be provided with company cars through a solus deal with Peugeot.
