METROCAB UK has suspended trading at all of its premises and filed for administration at the High Court. The company produced rivals to the traditional Manganese Bronze London cab, and is thought to employ around 200 people building the cabs from scratch, and producing up to 700 vehicles a year.

The move comes as Manganese Bronze Holdings reshuffled its board, with chairman Hugh Lang stepping down and being replaced by chief executive Jamie Borwick, and finance director Ian Pickering becoming the new chief executive in a bid to turn around the decline in the firm's share price.
