##congress--right##WIN two tickets to the UK sporting occasion of your choice this year by completing our online survey.

The research is designed to gather fleet reaction to the forthcoming company car tax changes, and the findings will be revealed at the Fleet News UK Congress. To access the survey form,

The 2001 Fleet News Congress takes place on November 7, the day after the FN50 dinner, and will have a leasing and rental focus in the morning and a 2002 benefit-in-kind tax change agenda in the afternoon.

In a link-up with this website, Fleet News is questioning fleet decision makers while Ford is quizzing company car drivers via its Talkback magazine for views on key issues related to the tax changes.

Hopes are high that more than 20,000 fleet decision-makers and company car drivers will take part in the research with the findings revealed at this year's Fleet News Congress, which will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at the Inter-Continental Hotel, Hyde Park Corner, London.

The Congress follows the second annual 'FN50' Dinner, where Fleet News will unveil its 2001 analysis of the top 50 contract hire firms in the UK.

Fleet News editor Ashley Martin called on all Fleet News and Fleet NewsNet readers to use the website to participate in the survey.

'The indications are that with six months to go until company car tax change day, there remains huge uncertainty among fleets and company car drivers over what to do,' he said.

'By conducting the research project we can find out views and then convey those to Government, manufacturers, contract hire and leasing companies and other interested parties to help fleets and individuals make tax-efficient decisions.'

All participants will automatically be entered in a free draw with tickets to the UK sporting event of the winner's choice up for grabs*. Runners-up prizes of ten 12-month subscriptions to Emap magazines are also on offer.

This year's Congress is being sponsored by Ford and Ford Business Partner and is being organised in conjunction with the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.

Attending the Congress is essential for everyone working in the UK fleet industry — whether a fleet director of a manufacturer, contract hire and leasing chief or fleet decision-maker.

Liberal Democrat peer and member of the Government-backed Motorists' Forum Baroness Ros Scott will speak at Congress 2001 in November.

She is also vice-chairman of the Local Government Association Transport Executive and its representative on the Motorists' Forum, where she chairs the working group on car clubs and car sharing. Scott speaks on transport and local government issues from the Liberal Democrat benches in the House of Lords.

The Congress has also assembled top line speakers from the Government, Inland Revenue and fleet sector to address the key issues facing fleets and leasing companies.

Tickets for the 2002 Fleet News Congress cost £225 plus VAT for a full day ticket; tickets for the morning session cost £130 plus VAT including lunch and afternoon session tickets cost £95 + VAT including lunch.
