GE Capital Fleet Services has launched a website that allows company car drivers to obtain new car quotes, check the progress of car orders and obtain travel documents for overseas business trips.

The site, called eDriver, is password protected and will also offer an online service for MoT bookings as well as a company car tax calculator. So far, 16,000 drivers have registered to use the site.

Steve Taylor, GE Capital Fleet Services' managing director, said the technology would provide a new level of customer service.

He said: 'It puts customers in charge of their fleet and reduces the need for drivers to bombard fleet departments with minor inquiries.'

Drivers can register via the GECFS website.
