Could this be a company car maintenance record?

A MITSUBISHI Carisma belonging to a reprographics company could be a record-holder as the highest mileage company car in the UK requiring the lowest maintenance.

The 1.8GLX model driven by Alistair Matthew, sales manager of Stroud-based Facsim, has clocked up 200,000 miles but the only component which has been replaced outside of the normal servicing regime is a front shock absorber.

First registered in August 1996, the car was bought by Facsim in May 1997 with 9,000 miles on the clock. Matthew, who has driven the car every day since then, said: 'It's a superb car. It has exactly what you need when you are on the road every day - reliability, comfort, economy and practicality.
