DaimlerChrysler in online alliance with Manheim

MANHEIM OnLine, the electronic disposal arm of Manheim Auctions, has announced an exclusive alliance with DaimlerChrysler UK for the online remarketing of Mercedes-Benz Used Cars. The deal will cover the sales of all Mercedes-Benz UK and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services used vehicles and was announced at a prestige sale held at Manheim Auctions Coventry.

Vehicles will be offered through Manheim OnLine's Cyberlot facility, before being filtered through physical auctions throughout the country. Cyberlot is a fixed priced, vehicle locator facility, with more than 3,500 registered members. Stuart Faid, wholesale manager for DaimlerChrysler UK said: 'We chose to remarket with Manheim OnLine due to their strong customer services commitment and flexibility, particularly in terms of meeting and enhancing our own requirements.'

Jonathan Holland, director of Manheim Interactive Services, said: 'Our members have the first bite of the cherry to purchase vehicles before they hit the auction house floor, resulting in the highest possible conversion rates for the vendors.'
