Performance Vauxhalls unveiled

VAUXHALL will be presenting some high-performance cars at the Geneva Motor Show, through its sister company, Opel. Among them will be a Zafira using the 188bhp engine from the Astra Coupe Turbo, making it Europe's fastest MPV with a 0-60mph time of eight seconds and a top speed of 137mph.

It is almost certain to reach the UK this year, although prices and specification are to be confirmed. Opel will also be showing a concept Zafira 1.6 which runs on compressed natural gas (CNG), but develops the same power and torque as its petrol counterpart, and has a top speed of 107mph.
