YRV aims at younger drivers

DAIHATSU'S new YRV (Young Recreational Vehicle) will go on sale next month costing from £9,495. The vehicle has similar dimensions to the Audi A2 and promises lower-medium sector space in a compact body.

The YRV uses an 86bhp 1.3-litre engine, with a combined fuel consumption figure of 47.1mpg for the manual, and CO2 emissions of 145g/km in manual form and 156 g/km for the F-Speed sequential automatic. Within a year, a 1.3-litre turbocharged variant will be on sale. Standard equipment includes central locking, electric door mirrors and all-round electric windows on all models.
