MERCEDES-BENZ has announced prices for its new C-class variants and revised A-class, due on sale in May and June respectively. All the new models will be making their UK debuts at the Fleet Show on May 1-3 at Alexandra Palace, London.

The C-class Sports Coupe range will start at £20,290 on-the-road for the 2.0-litre C180. The C200 Kompressor will be priced at £21,790, while the C230 Kompressor will cost £23,250 on-the-road. The car will go on sale in the UK on May 17. The diesel version - the C220 CDI - using common rail technology, will be priced at £22,825. Prices of the C-class estate will start at £22,090 for the C180 Classic - a £1,300 premium over the saloon - rising to £31,650 for the C320 Elegance and Avantgarde.

The C-class estate will go on sale on May 1 - coinciding with its appearance at the Fleet Show. The long wheelbase version of the A-class provides greater load capacity and increased passenger space. The introduction of the LWB model coincides with a facelift across the range, along with a price rise effective from Monday (April 2). The entry-level A140 Classic is now priced at £13,025 on-the-road - an increase of £260. LWB versions will cost £900 more than the standard car.
