WELL-known fleet industry figure Ken Forbes is to join Fleet NewsNet's parent company Emap Automotive as managing director of its motoring businesses. The move is part of a restructuring at the company aimed at devoting more resources to coverage of the motor industry.

Forbes began his motor industry career with Ford in 1983 before joining Citroen as fleet marketing manager in 1988. He was subsequently promoted to fleet director before becoming sales director. He will take up his new post on April 2. Meanwhile, Rob Munro-Hall, currently publishing director of Automotive's modern motoring portfolio, which includes the Fleet Group, becomes managing director of Emap Automotive's motorcycling business.
