Wrap-up service promises hot bids

BCA Europe has launched a new wrapping service to keep defleeted company cars 'fresh' after they have been Smart Prepared. Ron Hope, European director of Smart Prepared operations, says that following a winter trial period with customers, the service is available at all BCA locations delivering the Smart Prepared service.

After ex-company cars and vans have been Smart Prepared, to improve their second-hand value, the vehicles are wrapped in Clingfilm to protect the refurbished model from the weather. BCA says that for vendors it means vehicles arriving at auction centres over a number of days can be prepared on arrival and stored. That allows the seller greater opportunity to determine the appropriate model mix and content of sales at BCA.

Hope said: 'This new service will allow vendors to more effectively plan their vehicle remarketing without making concessions to vehicle preparation schedules. By ensuring cars are presented in the best possible condition, for the professional buyer to take away and retail without delay, Smart Prepared customers are enjoying considerable returns at disposal time.'
