FIVE employees at Saab GB have been affected in restructuring brought about by General Motors in Europe. The company's public affairs manager John Brewer is leaving 'to pursue his career in a new direction', and follows the departure of fleet sales manager Maggie Small two weeks ago.

Three other staff members working in other areas of the company have also left. Product communications manager Gary Axon will take on Brewer's role while retaining product planning duties. Saab GB managing director Jonathan Nash said: 'This change is part of GM Europe's 'front office/back office' organisational strategy announced at the Geneva Motor Show, to achieve a more integrated and cost-effective organisation within its business units.'
