FORD has named Russell McGill as its new fleet marketing manager. He joins from Ford Credit and takes over from John Rogers, who left the manufacturer in March to become marketing controller with Mariott Hotels.

McGill joined Ford Credit in 1986 and in 1989 moved to Borehamwood as assistant branch manager. In 1992 he joined Ford Motor Company as a business manager specialist, moving in 1993 to Ford Rental, where he was responsible for major accounts including Hertz.

In 1994, he was appointed market representation manager and, a year later, he moved to Harrogate as district marketing manager for Ford's northern district before moving back to Ford Credit in 1998 as northern district manager, based in Leeds, a post he moves from to his new Warley-based job with Ford fleet operations.
