COMPANY car drivers are having to wait up to 16 weeks to take delivery of Peugeot 607s - but the manufacturer's fleet and leasing director John Taylor says customers are happy to wait.

Changes in company car tax rules tax rules from next April have resulted in 80% of 607s sold to fleets being diesel.

With a lengthy options list, waiting time is running at up to 16 weeks for some models with many cars being 'bespoke models'.

'Many customers want to spec up their own vehicles and because of demand for the car on the continent there is a waiting period,' said Taylor.
