NISSAN will launch a high-spec version of the new Primera claiming it will be the most feature-laden car available for less than £20,000.

The Primera T-spec (for technology) will include a seven-inch colour display monitor with DVD satellite navigation, intelligent cruise control, mobile telephone integration, a rear view camera, auto-dimming rear view mirror, climate control and leather upholstery.

Nissan claims many of the features on the new Primera are not available on its upper-medium rivals, or premium upper-medium cars. The T-spec uses the 138bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine and comes with a six-speed manual or M-CVT transmission.

Prices will be announced in February, but Nissan says the T-spec model will cost less than £20,000 on-the-road.
