ANC floats on Nasdaq

CAR rental companies National Car Rental, Alamo and Car Temps USA have floated on the United States Nasdaq Stock Market under the ANC Rental Corporation name.

The new ownership structure follows the spin-off of ANC Rental Corporation from AutoNation, America's largest dealer group with more than 400 new vehicle franchises.

AutoNation shareholders received one ANC Rental Corporation share for every eight AutoNation shares they owned on June 16. Last year ANC Rental Corporation had an average global daily fleet of 339,000 vehicles and an annual revenue of $3.5 billion. (August 2000)
