BMW has appointed well-known fleet figure Bernard Bradley as its new general manager of corporate sales.

As part of his role, Bradley, former communications director for Volvo UK, will head an eight-strong team to develop new business for BMW as the firm prepares for a series of launches.

Graeme Grieve, sales director for BMW Great Britain, said: 'The corporate market represents a significant element of BMW's sales volume through both the contract hire and leasing industry and directly to business clients.

'Over the next three years we plan to increase BMW sales to 100,000 with the advent of new products such as 1 Series, X3 and 6 Series entering the premium sectors of new markets.

'Our corporate sales strategy will form a key element of this growth strategy.'

Chris Brownridge has also been appointed to the new role of corporate marketing manager.
