AUTOGLASS technician Kenny Crane, from Maidstone, Kent, has been named best glass fitter in the country after winning the UK Eurofitter 2002 award. Crane beat more than 1,000 contestants to take the title.

The final took place at Bedford Aerodrome and contestants were judged on quality and safety tests in windscreen repair and replacement, door replacement and customer service. He now goes through to the European final in Belgium on November 14, where he will compete for the prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to South Africa.
