YORKSHIRE Water has awarded Nidd Vale's GM division a major £5 million fleet contract.

During the next year, Nidd Vale will supply 250 cars from across the Vauxhall range on a two-year contract hire agreement as part of a £4 million deal.

In addition, Yorkshire Water will also buy up to 100 new Vauxhall vans worth £1 million, of which about 50 will be dual fuel new Combo vans powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

This will bring the total number of dual fuel vans operated by Yorkshire water to more than 300. Nidd vale first supplied Yorkshire Water with a dual fuel van in 1998 and has now delivered it with up to 750 cars, vans and pick-ups.
