GM Daewoo has revealed details of its second new model since the company's official launch three weeks ago.

The new Nubira will soon be on sale in Korea where it is called the Daewoo Lacetti and will make its European debut at next year's Geneva Motor Show before going on sale in the UK next summer.

Styled by Pininfarina, the four-door saloon will be followed by five-door hatchback and estate variants and powered by a choice of 1.6 and 1.8-litre petrol engines.

GM Daewoo UK managing director Andy Carroll said: 'Having just launched a new company and the Daewoo Kalos five-door hatchback, it is particularly pleasing that our range will be joined by yet another attractively designed and value-for-money product in less than a year.

'Daewoo is establishing itself as an eye-catching car brand and we look forward to the new Nubira joining our model line-up in the summer of 2003.'
