Van Liners move

BUSINESSMAN David Edwards has taken a majority shareholding in The Van Liners as the company prepares for UK and European expansion.

Edwards becomes executive chairman and the move is part of a series of changes, which has included the appointment of Rob Philpott as chief executive officer. He will be supported by the existing senior management team. The founders of the company, Chris Brownlow and David Rees, remain with the company as shareholders, with Brownlow remaining as managing director while Rees takes operational responsibilities.
