INTERNET-based incident management company AMC Accident Management has launched a new text message service in a bid to cut vehicle off-road time.

The new service, launched this week, allows the company to directly text drivers with instant updates on repair activity. Operations manager Matthew Briggs said: 'Lack of effective communication has continued to be a problem across the incident management process. We are using technology to change that situation by speeding up client communications and simplifying information sharing.

'You can text up to 10 people in the time it takes to make one telephone call.'
