MAZDA has issued revised emissions and fuel consumption figures for most of the Mazda6 range and other models which promise improved running cost calculations and lower benefit-in-kind liability.

Most petrol and diesel Mazda6 models see improvements of one or two BIK tax bands, while there are also benefits for drivers of 1.6-litre 323 and MX-5 models and the 1.8- litre Premacy.

A company car driver paying income tax at 40% and choosing a Mazda6 2.0 TS2 will now be paying £131 less per year in company car tax.

The reason for the changes is that the original data was taken from pre-production vehicles.
