THREE Scandinavian windscreen replacement companies have signed with a British-based firm to create a pan-Europe network.

Bilglassforeningen in Norway, Swedish-based Glasbranchforeningen and Dansk Autoglas in Denmark will work with National Windscreens in the UK.

The four companies have agreed to exchange lists of members so customers can use their glass replacement or repair services whether in the UK, Sweden, Denmark or Norway.

National Windscreens managing director Malcolm Dutton said the partnership would help the companies meet the increasing demands being made by insurance companies for pan-European providers.

'It is important that the independent windscreen replacement market works together as there is an ever increasing demand for a pan-European network,' he said. 'By forming partnerships we can provide operational and commercial assistance to each other.' (May 2000)
