MERCEDES-BENZ has revealed prices for its awe-inspiring SL-class roadster that goes on sale on April 4.

The glorious sports car will cost £67,790 in 'base' specification that includes the three-section folding hardtop, heated leather electric seats, CD autochanger with a navigation system, metallic paint, and an alphabet spaghetti of safety features, such as ABC (active body control), ESP (electronic stability programme), and SBC (Sensotronic brake control). Drivers who want a higher performance than the SL500 will have to wait for the SL55 AMG that goes on sale in the summer for £89,040.
