THERE was at least one sweet victory for two Fleet News readers who enjoyed a free day out at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff at the weekend.

Paul Rosewell, finance director for Westlea Housing Association, in Chippenham, Worcs and Neil Bourton, a car fleet insurance manager from Lancashire, took the spoils of victory in the first round of the ATS Euromaster Rugby Challenge.

Their prize for taking first and second place in the competition was watching Wales v France in the Six Nations 2002 tournament as part of a luxury weekend. However, if they were supporting Wales, then their victorious mood was to be short-lived, as they were narrowly defeated 37 points to 33 against rivals France in the match on Saturday.

However, Wales will get a second chance to offer two Fleet News readers the taste of victory on the sports field, as the latest winner of the ATS Euromaster Rugby Challenge has been announced.

Becky Cope, of BdR Dental Car, in Newark, Notts, 'owner' of Becky's Boys, tops the table to win tickets to see Wales v Italy at the Millennium Stadium on March 2. She will be joined by second placed manager of Time Wasting Refs, Robert Jackson, finance director of MMD Group, in Somercotes, Derbyshire. Four runners-up each receive a case of beer and a Six Nations T-shirt of their choice. They are John Hick, fleet sales manager, Woodkirk Garage in Woodkirk nr Dewsbury - Hickies Heroes; Mel Gray, product manager, Radford Retail Systems, Milton Keynes - Mel's Marauders; Robert Wilmot, fleet manager for DJ Hewer & Co in Gloucester - No Big Birds; Peter Williams, purchasing & logistics manager, Cluttons in London - ODP XV.
