AA offers free internet-based company car tax calculators

The AA is launching a set of free internet-based company car tax calculators.

Three fleet-focused calculators are on the AA.com website to give decision-makers a clear picture of how drivers will fare under the new carbon dioxide-based company car tax regime.

Fleet chiefs will be able to see whether drivers are better off taking cash allowances rather than company cars, and determine how much 'free' fuel costs employers.

The site gives fleets access to information about the new tax regime, fuel scale charges, taxable benefits and the Inland Revenue Authorised Mileage Rates.

Car Tax Calculator, Cash Alternative Calculator and Private Fuel Benefit Calculator are available on the AA.com website, which can be accessed via the Buyers Guide section of www.fleetnewsnet.co.uk.
