Based in Madrid, Alphabet Fleet Services Spain will start to operate from the spring this year. Managing director Arturo Pineiro will head up the Spanish operation.
He said: 'We do not reveal our targets but we are excited about our future in Spain. Spain has a fleet parc of 300,000 cars and it is growing all of the time, so now is a great time to be setting up in Spain.
'We are currently setting up the business and aim to start trading from the spring.'
Launched in April 1997 is part of the BMW Group. The company said that before its launch research showed that 'customers wanted a fresh, focussed and individual approach to solving specific fleet problems and not off the shelf products packaged as solutions'.
'Alphabet is positioned as a new type of fleet company, which strives always to deliver upon its promises and what is best for its customers,' it added.
