THE park ranger service of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has renewed a fleet supply contract with Vauxhall MasterHire worth £160,000.

Eight Astravans, two Astra estates, a Vivaro and a Movano were handed over as part of the deal.

Joyce Whitley, contracts manager for the park, received the keys to the vehicles from Adrian Blurton, Vauxhall MasterHire's development manager for the Yorkshire area and Ian Llewellyn, sales manager for Walter Brigg of Keighley.

Whitley said: 'Vauxhall MasterHire was the most competitive leasing company following a tendering exercise.

'Contract hire is the best acquisition method for us, as it enables us to accurately budget and cuts the amount of administration involved in running a fleet of cars and vans.'
