MG ROVER has confirmed it will be attending Fleet News Drive, the two ride and drive events organised by Fleet News, the first of which takes place at Brands Hatch on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Its decision brings the total manufacturers attending the two two-day events to 11. The second ride and drive is at Oulton Park on April 30/May 1.

An MG Rover spokesman said: 'Track-based events such as these are the ideal environment for demonstrating the latest MG Rover saloon range. When we launched the cars we found that putting a prospective customer in a car with an instructor at the wheel proved an excellent way to demonstrate its capabilities, which just isn't possible on a public road.'

The carmaker will also be showcasing its diesel proposition, represented at Fleet News Drive by a 45 and 75 saloon diesels.

The full line-up of MG Rovers available for testing is: MG TF, Rover 45 diesel, Rover 75 saloon diesel, Rover 75 2.5 V6, Rover 75 Tourer, MG ZT-T, MG ZT 190, MG ZS (180 and 120) and MG ZR160.
