Manheim to double Leicester fleet sales

FLEET sales at Manheim Auctions' Leicester site are being doubled from four to eight sales a month.

A weekly Monday fleet sale is being added to the established Thursday fleet sale, which is expected to increase the number of cars offered at the nine-acre site from 20,000 to 26,000 a year. The Monday sales have already prompted GE Capital Fleet Services, Fleetlease and Ford Business Partners to sign up and dispose of cars.

Stuart Cover, manager of Manheim Auctions Leicester, said: 'We have had an increase in demand from fleet customers wanting to sell more cars through our Leicester site, so we have responded by adding extra sales.

'Our fleet sales have been strong in 2002, with cars such as three-year-old Fords, all diesel and sub-70,000-mile petrol cars performing well consistently.'
