Maybach spec

DAIMLERCHRYSLER has revealed more details about the Maybach luxury saloon which will go on sale in spring 2003. The Maybach 57 and 62 will offer more than two million permutations for equipping them to personal requirements.

The car will be powered by a 550bhp 5.5-litre bi-turbo 12-cylinder engine, producing 664lb-ft of torque at 2,300rpm. The Maybach 62 will accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.4 seconds, and has an average fuel consumption figure of 17.8mpg. CO2 emissions are expected to comfortably exceed maximum tax thresholds.
