New Manheim service caters for small fleets

MANHEIM Auctions has launched a new service specifically aimed at small fleets operating cars and vans.

The service, called Fleet Combination, brings together all the vehicles offered by local companies in a single sale to attract as many buyers as possible. Each of Manheim's 18 auction centres will be offering two Fleet Combination sales each month, with up to 300 buyers expected at each one.

Martin Potter, corporate sales director, said: 'So far reaction has been positive, with pilot sales attracting about 300 vehicles from many companies. For many smaller fleets which do not have a fleet manager, disposing of vehicles can often be a time consuming and costly business, especially if they do not price their vehicles at the current market value.

'With this service we offer help and support right from collecting a car down to filling in entry forms and helping set reserve prices.'

The firm has also said it will manage any staff purchase schemes to ensure they operate effectively.
