VEHICLE equipment firm Brigade has launched a new in-vehicle camera to cut the number of accidents involving commercial vehicles reversing.

The new BE 856 Backeye, costing £690 plus VAT, includes six infra-red LEDs to improve the reversing camera's performance in the dark. The unit can control three camera inputs, so either three reversing cameras can be used, or two cameras plus a navigation system or video recorder.

Among Brigade customers who already use its reversing camera range is Kinch Fuel Oils, which has three of its nine vehicles fitted with the system.
