Corolla addition

THE new Toyota Corolla line-up will be completed on September 1 with the addition of a four-door saloon.

Built in Turkey, alongside the estate, the saloon comes with a choice of a 97bhp 1.4-litre and 110bhp 1.6-litre petrol engines, with variable valve timing and an 89bhp 2.0-litre common rail diesel.

The 1.4-litre produces carbon dioxide emissions at a rate of 159g/km, while the 1.6 achieves 168g/km. The diesel is rated at 153g/km.

Two grades of trim are available - T2 and T3 - while all cars will have four airbags, CD/radio and remote central locking. Satellite navigation with electronic traffic avoidance (ETA) is available as a £1,250 option, while prices start at £11,295 for the 1.4 T2.
