AN increase in sales has reduced losses at traffic information and vehicle tracking company Trafficmaster.

The company has announced its pre-tax losses for the first six months of the year were £4.9 million, down from £8.1 million for the same period the previous year. Sales were up 72% to £18.9 million from £11 million.

Trafficmaster said: 'The telematics market is not yet giving the widely predicted growth rates in the short term, but we remain confident that Trafficmaster is uniquely positioned to exploit this growth when it does occur.'
