CHURNGOLD is to pilot bi-fuel vehicles on its 100-vehicle fleet with the help of ALD Automotive.

Bristol-based Churngold, which has a sole supply contract with ALD Automotive, has selected Volvo as the manufacturer to start its alternative fuel programme.

The construction company has a strong environmental policy, which includes the impact of industry on the environment and the local community.

Steven Back, plant supervisor for Churngold said: 'In order to increase our ongoing commitment to the environment, we decided to extend our policy and support bi-fuel company car use. on our fleet.

'ALD offered valuable advice on environmental issues and supported our decision to pilot bi-fuel cars and we are currently running three cars.'
