• NICKY Scarr has been promoted to the post of product development manager for fee-based products with Arval PHH. Before this, Scarr worked on the team behind the company's InterActive online platform as well as in project management. In this new role she takes responsibility for testing, supporting and developing fee-based fleet solutions.

  • CHEVIN Fleet Solutions has appointed David Key as software engineer with its FleetWave development team. Key was previously with SiR Learning Systems for eight years, most recently as senior developer. In another appointment with the Derbyshire-based fleet management company, Ben Ashley has been promoted to development manager in the same team. During the past year he has worked on FleetWave projects around the world.

  • BSM, the driver training company, has appointed James Wakeford as head of fleet and insurance. His responsibilities include purchase, maintenance and disposal of BSM vehicles. He moves from ADT Fire and Security, where he was fleet project manager, to head up a team of six at BSM's headquarters in Feltham, Middlesex and its preparation and repair centre in Coventry. Wakeford reports to managing director, Paul Atkinson.

  • ANNE-MARIE Ward is the Gilder Group's first ever female technician. Along with 11 other apprentices, she joins the company as part of its investment in the development of home-grown talent. Ward spent her work experience placement in a local motor vehicle workshop before taking the training and development programme offered by the technical operation. Her apprenticeship will be closely monitored by Craig Norton, licensed technician at Gilder's site at Banner Cross.

  • Paul Webb has been appointed as business analyst at cfc solutions. He takes over the company's FleetOutlook and FleetPlus range of software and is involved in everything from product development to customer feedback. Webb was previously with Overdrive for more than 10 years, where he held a variety of posts, all centred round elements of fleet customer liaison and technology.

  • PAUL Wallwork has been appointed managing director for Inchcape Automotive. He has been with the company for more than five years in a number of roles including group financial controller, finance director for Inchcape UK and, most recently, commercial director for Inchcape UK. Wallwork takes over from Robert Wilkinson, who now moves to the new position of chairman. Both Wilkinson and Wallwork report to Inchcape UK and Europe's managing director Graeme Potts, who sits on the board of Inchcape.
