BCA's new Auction View Fixed Price remarketing channel has offered hundreds of vehicles to professional buyers since its launch four months ago, the company has revealed.

More than 1,000 buyers have signed up for the service, which is offered without additional charge to vendors by BCA.

The service gives sellers the opportunity to reach thousands of 'buyer account' holders direct and online.

BCA said that stock can be sold instantly from anywhere in its auction network and as these are vehicles currently awaiting sale, it gives sellers an extra opportunity to remarket physical auction stock.

Following the launch, BCA has researched opinions from a cross-section of professional buyers on the factors that are important when buying cars online. These included accurate and objective vehicle descriptions, realistic valuations on vehicles, having confidence in the vendor's product, someone to talk to if things go wrong, the opportunity to pre-sell vehicles, seeing actual images of the car for sale and a hassle free service.

BCA's director, customer affairs, Tom Madden said: 'The early success of Auction View Fixed Price has underlined that professional buyers will happily purchase vehicles online if certain peace of mind issues are addressed.'
